1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Taut app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Service description

Taut is an iOS mobile app for resistance band training coaching. The service offers:

Structured workout programs with multi-week progression
Exercise catalog with instructions and demonstrations
Personalized progress tracking and history
AI coach feature for technical questions (subject to device and equipment availability)

3. User account

Using the app does not require creating a dedicated account. Identification is done via your Apple ID. Your training data is stored locally on your device and can be synced via iCloud if enabled.

4. Subscription and payment

4.1 Pricing

Current prices are displayed directly in the app at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and local currency.

4.2 In-app purchases via Apple

All payments are handled by Apple via the App Store. You will be charged through your Apple account upon purchase confirmation.

4.3 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime from your iPhone Settings: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Taut. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No refund is issued for the remaining period.

4.5 Free trial

If a free trial is offered, it may be used only once per Apple account. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged according to the chosen subscription plan.

4.6 Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple according to their policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.

Taut is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app provides information and training programs for educational and informational purposes only.

Before starting any exercise program:

Consult a doctor if you have health issues, pre-existing injuries, chronic pain, or any concerns
If you are pregnant, postpartum, or have chronic medical conditions (cardiac, joint, back…), seek medical advice before use
Stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, abnormal shortness of breath, or discomfort
The use of resistance bands carries specific risks: band breakage, violent snapping, muscle or joint injury, eye injury. Always check the condition of your bands before use.

You use Taut at your own risk. We are not responsible for injuries, damages, or health issues that may result from using the app or its programs.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to:

Use the app only for personal and lawful purposes
Not attempt to circumvent security or access measures
Not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the app's content without written authorization
Not use the app for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
Not attempt to disassemble, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app

7. Intellectual property

All Taut content (text, programs, illustrations, source code, design, brand) is the property of Alexandre Alcuvilla unless otherwise stated. A personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license is granted to you for the duration of your active subscription.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Taut and its publisher shall not be held liable for:

Injuries, health issues, or bodily harm resulting from the use of the app or its programs
Data losses due to malfunction of the app, your device, or third-party services (iCloud, etc.)
Indirect or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or opportunities
Temporary unavailability of the service due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues

The total amount of any compensation, if applicable, is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the event.

9. Service availability

We strive to keep the app available and functional, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, or technical failures may temporarily make the app unavailable. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

10. Termination

You may uninstall the app at any time and cancel your subscription via your iPhone Settings (see section 4.4). The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access in case of violation of these Terms, without prior notice and without refund.

11. Modifications

These Terms may be modified to reflect changes in the service or legislation. Any substantial modification will be notified to you via the app or by email at least 30 days before its entry into force. Your continued use of the app after this period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of these Terms will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable.
